Our Father

Draw strength from your divine filiation. God is a Father – your Father! – full of warmth and infinite love.

Call him Father frequently and tell him, when you are alone, that you love him, that you love him very much, and that you feel proud and strong because you are his son.

– St. Josemaria Escriva, The Forge, #331

I need his strength. The strength of Our Father. I will do this.

One of the most moving images I have ever seen was a graffito scratched near a Second Century tomb in Italy. It showed a crudely drawn figure with arms raised up, a smile on the face, and underneat the words, “Pater noster.” That says it all.
