Pentecost

A blessed Pentecost to all of our readers!

From the Book of Common Prayer:

O God, who on this day
didst teach the hearts of thy faithful
people by sending to them the light of thy Holy Spirit:
Grant us by the same Spirit
to have a right judgment in all things,
and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort;
through the merits of Christ Jesus our Savior,
who liveth and reigneth with thee,
in the unity of the same Spirit,
one God, world without end. Amen.

    Come, O Holy Spirit, and fill the
    hearts of Your faithful!
    Send forth Your Spirit, O Lord, and
    they shall be created,
    And You shall renew the face of the
    earth!

    May the Father of Light send forth the Holy Spirit in a new outpouring upon the Church and the earth, that all heresy may be brought to nothing, all schisms healed, and the Lordship of Jesus Christ, His Son, be extended thoughout all hearts in every place. Amen.
