When this old clip appeared there, there was some fun speculation about which nun in the group is her - I’m fairly sure she was in the community at the time!

The same ran through my mind. I would give a dollar to know!
Question is, would she laugh it off as “back in the day”, be embarassed by the fact she was in the habit to begin with, or proud she transended all that?
Of course it is entirely possible to believe she was in the EBs at the time but was not one of the chosen few to make in on the Ed Sullivan Show…
Their numbers were much greater back then. Sadly, it is hard for a lot of us to imagine just how big the EBs were - modern photos of what we would consider “large orders” notwistanding… It sometimes is hard to imagine that the very large (by today’s standards) Nashville Dominicans with their over-flowing convent, would have been considered “medium sized” back then!
But now that you brought it up, I think I can safely say that if I ever met her in person, that would likely be the only question I would bother to ask her: “Were you there? If so which one?” Any other question and answer would likely just raise my blood pressure or make me despair!

Those poor nuns. They were so beautiful once upon a time… It must drive them crazy to see all those “backward” groups like the Nashville Dominicans and Franciscans of the Renewal getting all the vocations…
