    A lovely man. Even though politically I think differently about ‘Abraham, Martin and John’ (and Bobby) you can cry with him in his (overproduced but still moving) 1968 song for what he and so many others thought they stood for (I think Martin and even Bobby were sincere). I knew he’d relatively recently come back to Rome after a long sojourn in evangelical Protestantism.

    You know until I am reminded of it, I always forget the guy who sang “The Wanderer” is the same as the fella who sang that anthem. And I share your misgivings on that 1968 song - written a whole 9 years before I was brought to be.

    Still, it is great to have him home.
