Fr. Michael Pfleger (whom I blogged about exactly one year ago, when he threatened to “snuff out” legal firearms dealer) recently preached at Obama’s church, and even Obama considers Fr. Pfleger’s message to be divisive rhetoric. It doesn’t help Obama’s campaign to have a person, especially a Catholic priest, slandering Hillary Clinton from his own church’s pulpit. I’ll let the video speak for itself.
H/T Catholic Report.
Note to all Catholics and those considering converting: embracing Catholic Social Teaching, which is an amazing Teaching that transcends politics, doesn’t mean behaving or believing like Chicago priest Fr. Pfleger.

“Father” Pfleger is a vile excuse for a human being and has NO business in the holy preisthood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I have signed a petition to have him defrocked and possibly excommunicated and I call on all TRUE Catholics to do the same. Write to the Cardinal and DEMAND that he get off his duff and take some action. Frankly, I for one am sick and tired of all the liberal or outrageous nonsense we hear in our parishes and have since Vatican II. I keep hearing how things are getting better in the Church; I for one see little evidence of it, especially when people like Pfleger are allowed to continue to wear the collar. There ARE other options and IF the Church cannot BE the Church and straighten up her own ranks, then maybe she has ceased to be Christ’s at all.

Well, well, well!
I am from Chicago and I had never heard of this “jewel” of a priest!
I might go down to Saint Sabina for Mass one of these days and hopefully I will get to see ‘Chicago’s renegade priest”.
(I wonder how Confession would be like with him?)

If you go down to Saint Sabina’s, don’t spend any time looking for Mass times… the website (http://a.saintsabina.org/) lists only:
8:30am Worship Service
11:15am Worship Service
I did a site search for the word “confession” it returned no hits…. “Reconciliation” got 1 hit (it was in an article talking about groups in a civil war)…

But, hopnestly, don’t people go to these things and know that it is just entertainment? Really, do some people think that this constitutes worship? I have never seen such a performance. Does this happen a lot?

Yes, ASimpleSinner, I am quite aware of that.
I visited the parish website right after I wrote my first comment and I had trouble finding the Mass times.
As for the Sacrament of Confession, I did not find it either. I am guessing that the people at St. Sabina are extremely holy and don’t need to go to Confession.

I can’t get over this feeling that Father P. really, really, REALLY, enjoys his status as (and this is his real name) “The blue-eyed priest with the Black soul” from the standpoint of the acclaim and power it accords him…
I also wonder what any of the dozen priests I have known from Africa would think about his style and parish…

OOPS!
Should read “and this is his real nickname”.
I have read it several places – I did not coin it.

Dymphna, why would I get into trouble?
