Clinton, Kennedy, and NARAL Took the High Road…

But Obama did not. What issue am I talking about? The Born Alive Infant Protection Act, which would have prevented the killing of an infant born alive, namely those who survived a botched late-term abortion. Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and even NARAL, did not oppose the act, but Obama opposed it. Anybody care to explain why he couldn’t support this act, which seems to me even a pro-choice individual could easily support? Has he explained his reasons? I am not likely to vote for Obama in the fall, but I think faithful Catholics who are even considering voting for him deserve an explanation for this.

I know, I know, people say we Catholics focus on abortion too much. But let me tell you, having 2 nieces, and contemplating children of my own, that we would tolerate, and even justify, killing an infant born alive says a whole lot about our level of civilization. We might be able to send someone to the moon, but if we practice things like this, its as if we are still Cro-Magnons with a little innovation thrown in (of course, even Cro-Magnons may not have even contemplated such a thing).

Thanks for Irenaeus for pointing this out.

Obama is for all abortions but he tries to walk the fence to play both sides, the same as he is doing in Iraq! How can any good American vote for a man who allows his children listen to Jeremiah Wright saying God’s name in vain their entire young lives? This American will not vote for such a person because I could never hold my head up again!

I don’t think I overstate it when I say that Obama is an enemy of America, her values, and her constitution.

Obama is not the enemy, Ignorance is.
I find it amazing some of the things that are going around on this web.
What does McCain have to offer?
    Please tell me.

    Reggie,

My post said nothing about whether I liked McCain or not. In fact, I don’t think McCain is that great.

I agree “ignorance is the enemy,” and it is ignorance of life, culture, etc, to support killing babies after they have been born alive, whether it is Obama who supports it, or the sweet old lady down the street. This is the issue of this post, and so far, nobody has explained why Obama would oppose this act while Kennedy, Clinton, and even NARAL wouldn’t.

I can’t even watch that video all the way through…Obama make me sick.

And no, McCain offers nothing tangible for most of us, but for the love of God, at least he didn’t vote against providing basic medical care to infants who survived abortion. If Obama had his way, these children would have been tossed in piles of medical waste to die…what the hell has happened to this country?

  7. Nicene Hobbit Says:

    lutherpunk,
You asked what the hell has happened to this country? “Hell” is very appropriate for an answer. People have simply believed the Old Serpent that we humans are wiser than God, that we know more and better than He, and we have, as a result, lost our moorings. America is in a mess, but it is one partly of American Christians’ own makings. Christians in this country have spent years on “evangelizing” but that has meant mostly getting folks to accept Christ as “fire insurance”, but it hasn’t really changed lives or produced mature believers. When people aren’t grounded in Christ, they’ll fall for anything that “sounds” or “feels” right and good to them. It’s also our nature to go the easy route. Mr. Obama is a Christian, but holds views that certainly are against everything Jesus and the orthodox Christian Faith teach. Time for serious prayer, GOOD teaching, and, frankly, Divine Intervention. Kyrie eleison!

As an Obama supporter, I have asked his people the same question, without a response thus far. If I get a response, I will post it.

    Domine, miserere!

Life is the foundation on which every other issue is based.

Obama wants to kill your kid if he or she surrvives an abortion….well, if he’s doing that to the nnocents, Gof forbid what could even possibly happen to the living

    Domine, miserere!
