Michael Steele the new RNC Chairman

Michael Steel has become the first African-American Republican National Committee Chairman! This is exciting news. Steele has quite a fascinating history, and even spent three years as a Catholic seminarian (from this site)! Whether Steele will help the battered GOP, I don’t know, but I am happy that the RNC has an African-American chairman. Whatever your opinion on Obama and Steele, we are living in historic times with regards to race relations!

Well, you may be right from a “first” perspective but above all else, Michael Steele is a great conservative and I think he’ll do a great job as chairman of the RNC. Like a lot of people, he doesn’t want to see the Republican party turn into “liberal light”…. B. Hussein Obama is another story. He’s so far left it isn’t even funny.

I’m a Republican PCO who went down with the ship in November. Post election, here in Kent, WA, I’m pleased that the party has made significant moves to refine and redesign itself. The message of November was we were selling, but the customer (voter) wasn’t buying.

Steele is a good new brand.

I think Steele is great! Most of both my family and my wife’s family are from Maryland, and we’ve heard great things about when he was Lieutenant Governor. This is a great choice which bodes well for the GOP in 2010.

I am glad to see this time has come. I hope with it comes the feeling of equality by all races.
